Vincristine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group German Chamomile interacts with.

Theoretically, German chamomile might inhibit CYP3A4 and increase levels of drugs metabolized by these enzymes.
In vitro evidence shows that German chamomile might inhibit CYP3A4. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans. However, there might be an increase in the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 in patients taking German chamomile.

Here's the basic idea: your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to break down and clear vincristine from your system. German chamomile, based on early lab studies, may slow that enzyme down a bit. In theory, that could let vincristine build up to higher levels than expected, which might mean more of its known side effects, things like numbness or tingling in the hands and feet, constipation, jaw or nerve pain, and a bigger drop in blood counts.

Now, the honest part: this concern comes only from test-tube research, and it hasn't been seen in real patients. Still, vincristine is potent chemotherapy, so even small shifts matter. Please don't change anything on your own. Just loop in your oncology team or pharmacist before using chamomile tea or supplements.

What Is Vincristine Injection Used For?

Vincristine Sulfate Injection is approved to treat acute leukemia. It is also used as part of combination chemotherapy regimens for Hodgkin's disease, non-Hodgkin's malignant lymphomas, rhabdomyosarcoma (a soft-tissue cancer), neuroblastoma (a cancer of nerve tissue), and Wilms' tumor (a kidney cancer in children).

Because it works best alongside other cancer medicines, vincristine is almost always given as part of a multi-drug treatment plan rather than on its own.
