Theoretically, goldenseal might increase the sedative effects of CNS depressants.
Goldenseal contains berberine. Animal research shows that berberine can have sedative effects. However, this effect has not been reported in humans.

Bromazepam (Lectopam) is a benzodiazepine that calms the nervous system, so it already makes many people feel drowsy, relaxed, or a bit foggy. The concern here is simple addition: goldenseal contains berberine, and in animal studies berberine showed some sedating effects of its own. Stacked on top of bromazepam, the worry is that the two together could deepen that sleepiness.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. This sedation has not actually been seen in people, so it's a theoretical caution, not a proven problem. Still, if you take both and notice extra drowsiness, dizziness, or trouble concentrating, ease off and check with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
