Metoclopramide Hydrochloride falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Goldenseal interacts with.
Goldenseal contains berberine. Animal research shows that berberine can have sedative effects. However, this effect has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for combining goldenseal with metoclopramide. Metoclopramide already tends to cause drowsiness in a lot of people, and it can sometimes bring on tiredness, dizziness, or a foggy, sluggish feeling. Goldenseal contains berberine, and in animal studies berberine showed some sedative effects. The concern is that stacking the two could add up to more sleepiness than you'd expect.
That said, this is a theoretical interaction. The calming effect from goldenseal has not actually been reported in people, so it's a 'just be aware' situation rather than a red alert. If you take both, notice whether you feel unusually drowsy, and avoid driving until you know how you react. CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES

Clinical and in vitro research shows that goldenseal can significantly inhibit CYP2D6 enzymes, potentially increasing levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the practical picture with goldenseal and metoclopramide. Your body clears metoclopramide partly through a liver enzyme called CYP2D6, and goldenseal has been shown to slow that enzyme down. Metoclopramide is an active drug already (not a prodrug that needs switching on), so blocking its breakdown means more of it can build up in your blood.
Higher levels can mean stronger side effects: drowsiness, restlessness, muscle twitching, or uncontrolled movements of the face and limbs. That last one is uncommon but important, so it's worth taking seriously. This is based on decent but not airtight human evidence. Concentrated goldenseal capsules matter more than a tiny culinary amount. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

What Is Metoclopramide Nasal Spray Used For?
Brand name: Gimoti
Gimoti (metoclopramide nasal spray) is approved for adults with acute and recurrent diabetic gastroparesis — a condition where diabetes damages the nerves controlling stomach emptying, causing nausea, vomiting, and bloating. It works to relieve those symptoms by helping the stomach empty more normally.
Gimoti is not recommended for children, or for adults with moderate to severe kidney or liver disease. It is also not recommended for adults taking strong CYP2D6 inhibitor medications (certain antidepressants and other drugs that slow how the body breaks down metoclopramide).
