Sitaxsentan sodium falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Gotu Kola interacts with.

Theoretically, taking gotu kola with hepatotoxic drugs might have additive adverse effects.
There are at least four case reports of hepatotoxicity associated with the use of gotu kola. However, more information is needed to determine if gotu kola was the causative factor in these cases.

Here's the simple version: both Sitaxsentan (Thelin) and gotu kola can each be hard on your liver. Sitaxsentan in particular is known for raising liver enzymes and, rarely, causing serious liver injury, which is a big part of why it carries close monitoring. The worry here is an additive strain, meaning two liver stressors at the same time could add up.

I'll be honest about the evidence though. This is mostly theoretical, built on a handful of case reports where gotu kola was linked to liver problems but never clearly proven as the cause. Still, with a drug this sensitive to the liver, I wouldn't combine them without a green light. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist first, and watch for things like yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness.
