Grape + Oxycodone
Oxycodone brand names: OxyContin, Roxicodone, OxyIR, Percolone, Oxecta, and others.
Grape has a moderate interaction with Oxycodone. Theoretically, grape seed extract may increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Oxycodone
Oxycodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Grape interacts with.
In vitro evidence suggests that grape seed extract might inhibit CYP2D6 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the short version: your body relies partly on an enzyme called CYP2D6 to process oxycodone. In lab dish studies, grape seed extract seemed to slow that enzyme down. If that happened in real life, oxycodone could hang around a bit longer and feel stronger, which might mean more drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, nausea, or in a worst case, slowed breathing.
I want to be honest about how shaky this is, though. This concern comes only from test-tube research, and it has never actually been seen in people. Eating grapes or drinking a little grape juice is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated grape seed extract supplements are the real question mark, so check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding one.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Oxycodone page
“Oxycodone is a potent opioid painkiller, and anything that deepens its sedation can slow breathing itself, which is why this list deserves genuine respect. Of the 145 supplement and herbal ingredients on record, eight rate major, and the biggest cluster by far, 78 ingredients, adds extra drowsiness on top of the opioid's own.”

About Grape
What is Grape?
- Antioxidant support
- Heart and circulation health
- Vein problems (such as varicose veins)
- Eye health
- General anti-inflammatory support
Grapes and grape products like grape seed extract contain antioxidant compounds such as resveratrol and proanthocyanidins that may support heart and blood vessel health. While the food is healthy and generally safe, the supplement evidence for treating specific conditions is mostly limited or preliminary. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before starting a grape supplement.
About Oxycodone
What Is Oxycodone Used For?
Brand names: OxyContin, Roxicodone, OxyIR, Percolone, Oxecta, OxyNeo
Oxycodone treats pain that is severe enough to need an opioid pain medicine, when other treatments are not enough. Other options include non-opioid pain relievers or opioid combination products.
Some products are for specific situations. Extended-release products (OxyContin, Xtampza ER, and oxycodone extended-release tablets) are for severe, persistent pain that needs daily, around-the-clock treatment. They are not for as-needed use. The 100 mg per 5 mL (20 mg/mL) oral solution is only for opioid-tolerant patients. Oxaydo is labeled for acute and chronic pain.
