Aminoglutethimide falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) INDUCERS — the group Hemp Agrimony interacts with.

Hemp agrimony contains hepatotoxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PA) which are substrates of cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4). Theoretically, drugs that induce CYP3A4 might increase the conversion of PAs to toxic metabolites. Some drugs that induce CYP3A4 include carbamazepine (Tegretol), phenobarbital, phenytoin (Dilantin), rifampin, rifabutin (Mycobutin), and others.

Here's the key thing with this pairing: hemp agrimony naturally contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids, which are compounds that can be hard on the liver. The worry isn't that aminoglutethimide (Cytadren) stops working. It's the opposite direction. Aminoglutethimide speeds up the liver enzyme CYP3A4, and in lab and animal studies that same enzyme turns those plant compounds into more toxic, liver-damaging forms. So in theory, taking the two together could mean more liver stress, not less drug effect.

I want to be honest that this is early, theoretical evidence, not something proven in people. Still, hemp agrimony is one most experts already advise against swallowing because of those liver concerns. Before using any product with it alongside your aminoglutethimide, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
