Chlorpropamide falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Hemp Agrimony interacts with.

Hemp agrimony contains hepatotoxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PA). Theoretically, using hemp agrimony with hepatotoxic drugs might have additive adverse effects on the liver. Some drugs that can adversely affect the liver include acetaminophen (Tylenol and others), amiodarone (Cordarone), carbamazepine (Tegretol), isoniazid (INH), methotrexate (Rheumatrex), methyldopa (Aldomet), fluconazole (Diflucan), itraconazole (Sporanox), erythromycin (Erythrocin, Ilosone, others), phenytoin (Dilantin), lovastatin (Mevacor), pravastatin (Pravachol), simvastatin (Zocor), and many others.

Here's the concern with pairing hemp agrimony and chlorpropamide (Diabinese). This isn't about hemp agrimony changing your blood sugar or how chlorpropamide works. It's about your liver. Hemp agrimony can contain pyrrolizidine alkaloids, natural compounds that may damage liver cells. Chlorpropamide, like many medications, is processed by the liver and can occasionally stress it too. The worry is that the two together could add up and put extra strain on the liver.

I want to be honest about the evidence: this is a theoretical concern based on how each works, not something proven in real patients. Still, because of the liver risk, most experts already advise against swallowing hemp agrimony at all. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before using any product that contains it.
