Sotorasib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Higenamine interacts with.

Theoretically, higenamine might increase the levels and clinical effects drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that higenamine inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes by 21%. However, this effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the basic idea with Sotorasib (Lumakras). Your body relies on an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear this cancer medicine. Higenamine has been shown, but only in lab dish studies, to slow that enzyme down by about 21%. If that happened in real life, Sotorasib could build up a bit more in your system, which might mean more of its side effects like nausea, diarrhea, fatigue, or changes in liver-related blood tests.

I want to be honest that this is theoretical. It has not been seen in actual people, so I'm not trying to alarm you. Still, because Sotorasib is a serious cancer treatment, please loop in your oncologist or pharmacist before adding any pre-workout or weight-loss product. Higenamine also carries its own heart and blood pressure concerns worth discussing.

What Is Sotorasib Used For?

Brand name: Lumakras

Lumakras is used to treat adults with KRAS G12C-mutated locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have already received at least one prior cancer treatment. This use was approved under the FDA's accelerated approval pathway based on tumor response rates, and continued approval may depend on results from confirmatory trials.

Lumakras is also used in combination with panitumumab to treat adults with KRAS G12C-mutated metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) who have previously received certain chemotherapy regimens. In both cases, patients must first be confirmed to carry the KRAS G12C mutation using an FDA-approved test.
