Here's the simple version: clobazam is a benzodiazepine that calms down electrical activity in the brain, and one of its everyday effects is making you feel sleepy. Hops, which people often take for sleep or to wind down, may have its own mild calming effect. Put the two together and they could stack on top of each other, so you might feel groggier, more drowsy, dizzy, or less sharp than usual.

I'll be honest, this concern is mostly theoretical and based on animal studies, not strong human proof, so for many people it may not amount to much. Still, since clobazam already affects the brain, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding hops. Please don't change your seizure medication on your own.

Hops are most often used for sleep and mild anxiety, frequently combined with valerian, but the human evidence is limited and not very strong. Clobazam is used as an add-on (adjunctive) treatment for seizures linked to Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS), a severe form of childhood-onset epilepsy. It is approved for patients 2 years of age and older.

This indication applies to all available forms: Sympazan (dissolving oral film), Onfi (tablets and oral suspension), and generic clobazam tablets and oral suspension.
