Here's the simple version: Aprocitentan (Tryvio) is a blood pressure medicine used for tough-to-control hypertension. Horny goat weed has shown, mostly in lab and animal studies, that it might lower blood pressure a bit on its own. So the concern is that stacking the two could push your blood pressure down more than intended.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, unusually tired, or even faint when you stand up quickly. I want to be honest though: this effect hasn't actually been reported in people, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Since Aprocitentan is already a strong medication, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding this herb, especially if your pressure runs on the low side.

What Is Aprocitentan Used For?

Brand name: Tryvio

Tryvio is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. It is specifically for people whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on other blood pressure medications — it is always used together with at least one other antihypertensive drug, not on its own.

Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as stroke and heart attack. Tryvio has not been studied as a standalone treatment and is not intended to replace other blood pressure medicines.
