Here's the thing to keep in mind with this combo. Iloprost (Ventavis) is an inhaled vasodilator, meaning it works by relaxing and opening up your blood vessels. The beetroot nitrates in SuperBeets Heart Chews can also gently widen blood vessels and nudge your blood pressure down. So you're really stacking two things that do a similar job, and that can add up.

What that might feel like is more dizziness, lightheadedness, or flushing, especially when you stand up quickly. The good news is the research suggests beets cause only a small, short-lived dip in blood pressure, so for most folks this is a minor concern. Still, since you're managing PAH, it's worth running it by your pharmacist or doctor before adding the chews.
