Beetroot is rich in nitrates, which have the potential to widen blood vessels (vasodilation) and, in turn, possibly lower blood pressure. Rescinnamine is an older blood pressure medicine in the reserpine family. It lowers blood pressure by calming the signals that tighten your blood vessels. The beetroot in SuperBeets Heart Chews works in a different way, by boosting nitric oxide, which gently relaxes and widens those same vessels. So both are nudging your blood pressure in the same downward direction.

When you stack them, the main thing to watch for is a little extra dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint, especially when you stand up quickly. The good news: research shows the beet effect is usually small and short-lived, so this is rated a minor interaction. Most people do fine, but check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding these chews, and stand up slowly at first.
