Riociguat falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Isopropylnorsynephrine interacts with.

Theoretically, isopropylnorsynephrine might decrease the effects of antihypertensive drugs.
In vitro research shows that isopropylnorsynephrine is a highly selective, direct-acting beta-adrenergic receptor agonist with positive chronotropic effects, and hypertension has been reported in patients taking combination products containing isopropylnorsynephrine and other stimulants.

Here's the thing about Riociguat (Adempas): its whole job is to relax and widen your blood vessels so the pressure in your lungs comes down. Isopropylnorsynephrine is a stimulant that works in the opposite direction. It can stir up beta-adrenergic receptors, which may raise your heart rate and blood pressure. So in theory, this supplement could push against what Riociguat is trying to do.

I want to be honest about the evidence here. This concern comes mainly from lab studies plus a few reports of high blood pressure in people using stimulant blends, so it's more theoretical than proven. Still, since Riociguat itself can drop your pressure and cause dizziness, fainting, or a fast heartbeat, mixing in a stimulant is a gamble I'd avoid. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before using any product containing it.

What Is Riociguat Used For?

Brand name: Adempas

Riociguat tablets — sold as Adempas and under the generic name Riociguat — are used to treat adults with two types of pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs).

The first is chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH), a condition caused by blood clots in the lung arteries, either after surgery or when surgery is not an option. The second is pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), where the arteries carrying blood to the lungs are narrowed or blocked. In both conditions, riociguat helps improve exercise ability and functional status, and in PAH it also helps slow the disease from getting worse.
