Your Tenoretic combines two medicines: atenolol (a beta-blocker for blood pressure) and chlorthalidone (a water pill). The chlorthalidone half is what matters here. Juniper is thought to have its own mild water-pill (diuretic) effect, so taking it alongside chlorthalidone could, in theory, add up. That might mean a little extra fluid and salt loss, which could leave you feeling lightheaded, extra thirsty, or low on potassium.

I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on how juniper behaves, not strong human studies, and it's rated minor. A splash of gin won't be the issue; concentrated juniper supplements taken regularly are more the worry. If you're considering juniper, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
