Isoniazid, Rifampin falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Khella interacts with.

Theoretically, khella might have additive adverse effects on the liver when used with hepatotoxic drugs. Khella can increase liver transaminases. Some drugs that can adversely affect the liver include acetaminophen (Tylenol), amiodarone (Cordarone), carbamazepine (Tegretol), isoniazid (INH), methotrexate (Rheumatrex), methyldopa (Aldomet), and many others.

Rifamate combines two tuberculosis medicines, isoniazid and rifampin, and both are already well known for being hard on the liver. Khella has been shown to raise liver enzymes (the transaminases your doctor checks in bloodwork), so pairing it with this combo could add more stress to an organ that's already working overtime. The concern here is mostly theoretical, but since your TB treatment alone can already cause liver trouble, I'd rather be cautious.

Watch for warning signs like yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, belly pain on your right side, nausea, or feeling unusually tired. Please don't add or stop anything on your own. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist first, especially since they're likely already monitoring your liver labs during treatment.
