Indiplon is a sleep medicine that works by calming down your central nervous system, basically helping your brain settle into sleep. Lemon balm seems to have a mild calming, sedative effect of its own. When you pair the two, those calming effects can stack up. That could leave you feeling more drowsy than expected, groggy or foggy the next morning, dizzy, or unsteady on your feet.

To be fair, this is more of a theoretical, add-them-together concern, and the human evidence behind lemon balm's sedation is fairly limited. Still, with a sleep aid like Indiplon it makes sense to be cautious. Before combining them, have a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor so you don't end up more sedated than you bargained for.
