Here's the connection: danazol is one of those medicines that can make your skin and eyes more sensitive to light. When you add light therapy, which on purpose floods your eyes with bright light, you're stacking two things that push in the same direction. In theory that could raise the odds of a skin reaction, like redness or a rash on light-exposed areas, or extra eye sensitivity.

I'll be honest with you, this is a theoretical caution based on how these things work, not something seen often in real life, so I don't want you to panic. Still, if you use a light box, mention it to your doctor or pharmacist so they can keep an eye on your skin and comfort while you're on danazol.

Light therapy uses controlled exposure to bright artificial light and is best supported for seasonal affective disorder, where it is a recognized treatment option. What Is Danazol Used For?

Brand names: Cyclomen, Danocrine

Danazol capsules are used to treat endometriosis — a condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing pain and sometimes infertility. It works by suppressing the hormonal cycle that drives this abnormal tissue growth.

Danazol capsules are also used to prevent attacks of hereditary angioedema — a genetic condition that causes episodes of severe swelling in the skin, abdomen, face, and airway. All types of attacks (cutaneous, abdominal, and laryngeal) can be prevented with danazol.
