Danazol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) INHIBITORS — the group Thunder God Vine interacts with.

Theoretically, CYP3A4 inhibitors might increase the levels and adverse effects of thunder god vine constituents.
Inhibitors of CYP3A4 can increase the concentration of triptolide, a thunder god vine constituent, and its derivative (5R)-5-hydroxytriptolide. In vitro research shows that triptolide and (5R)-5-hydroxytriptolide are about 94% and 64% metabolized by CYP3A4, respectively.

Here's the thing to know about pairing Danazol with thunder god vine. Danazol slows down a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, and that same enzyme is what your body uses to break down triptolide, one of the main active compounds in thunder god vine. So if you take them together, the herb may not clear out as fast and its levels could climb higher than expected.

Why does that matter? Thunder god vine can already be toxic if it builds up, with effects like stomach upset, diarrhea, and possible liver or kidney strain. Danazol isn't the worry here, the herb is. I'll be honest, this caution comes from lab work, not real patient cases, so it's theoretical. Still, please check with your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

Danazol capsules are used to treat endometriosis — a condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing pain and sometimes infertility. It works by suppressing the hormonal cycle that drives this abnormal tissue growth.

Danazol capsules are also used to prevent attacks of hereditary angioedema — a genetic condition that causes episodes of severe swelling in the skin, abdomen, face, and airway. All types of attacks (cutaneous, abdominal, and laryngeal) can be prevented with danazol.
