Here's the gist for these two together. Your body clears cyclobenzaprine partly through a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. A compound in Thunder God Vine (triptolide) appears to slow that enzyme down, at least in lab tests. If it does the same in people, cyclobenzaprine could hang around a bit longer and feel stronger than usual.

In plain terms, that might mean more drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, or grogginess, especially if you're driving or already taking something sedating. The good news is this is only a theoretical concern based on test-tube work, and it hasn't actually been reported in real patients. Still, Thunder God Vine can be toxic on its own, so please run this combination by your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

Here's the simple version. Cyclobenzaprine is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab studies suggest that one compound in Thunder God Vine (triptolide) may slow that enzyme down. If that happens, your body could clear cyclobenzaprine a little more slowly, letting it build up. That might mean stronger effects from the medicine, like extra drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, or feeling groggy.

Cyclobenzaprine tablets and extended-release capsules are used alongside rest and physical therapy to relieve muscle spasm caused by acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions — easing pain, tenderness, and limited movement. This use is intended for short-term treatment only (up to 2–3 weeks).

Tonmya, the sublingual (under-the-tongue) form of cyclobenzaprine, is separately indicated for the treatment of fibromyalgia in adults. It is not the same as the oral tablet or capsule formulations.
