Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Palivizumab
Palivizumab falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Lion's Mane Mushroom interacts with.
In animal and in vitro research, lion's mane mushroom polysaccharides stimulate the immune system.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thinking behind this pairing. Lion's mane has been shown, mostly in lab dishes and animal studies, to gently stimulate the immune system. Some medicines are designed to calm down the immune system, and the concern is that a supplement nudging it the other way could work against them. That's why lion's mane is flagged with that whole drug group.
The good news for Palivizumab (Synagis) is that it isn't really an immune suppressant in the usual sense. It's a man-made antibody that simply helps the body fight off RSV in little ones. So this theoretical concern doesn't fit Palivizumab well, and it comes from early lab data, not real-world cases. Still, since this is given to vulnerable babies, please run any supplement past your child's doctor or pharmacist first.

“Everything on this list for palivizumab (Synagis), the antibody injection given monthly to shield premature and other high-risk infants from RSV, points in one direction. These are supplements that stimulate the immune system, and stimulating the immune system could in theory work against a medicine that acts on it.”
