Here's the simple version. Your medication, the Dyazide or Maxzide combo, is a water pill (diuretic) that helps your body get rid of extra fluid and lower blood pressure. Lovage, when taken as a concentrated supplement, has a mild "flush the urine out" effect of its own. The concern is that stacking these two could nudge your fluid loss a little further than intended.

I want to be honest with you: this one is theoretical. It's based on how lovage behaves in the lab, not on real cases in people. If anything happened, you might notice extra urination, lightheadedness, or mild dehydration. A sprinkle of lovage in cooking is very unlikely to matter. Before adding a lovage supplement, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on your blood pressure and hydration.
