Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
DIURETIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Hydralazine, Hydrochlorothiazide
Hydralazine, Hydrochlorothiazide falls under DIURETIC DRUGS — the group Lovage interacts with.
Some diuretics include chlorothiazide (Diuril), chlorthalidone (Thalitone), furosemide (Lasix), hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ, Hydrodiuril, Microzide), and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Your combo pill pairs hydralazine, which relaxes blood vessels, with hydrochlorothiazide, a water pill that helps your body get rid of extra fluid and salt. Lovage has a mild "flush the kidneys" effect of its own (what herbalists call aquaretic), so on paper it could nudge in the same direction as your diuretic. The worry isn't that lovage blocks the medicine, it's that the two together might tip you into losing a bit too much fluid.
Honestly, this is a theoretical concern based on how lovage works, not on solid human studies, so I don't want to alarm you. Splashing lovage in cooking is unlikely to matter. With concentrated capsules or the essential oil, just watch for extra dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling dehydrated, and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Hydralazine, Hydrochlorothiazide page
“Hydralazine with hydrochlorothiazide already pulls blood pressure down two ways, so most of the supplements on this page either push that drop further or drain more potassium and fluid than the diuretic alone would. A smaller set works against it, and a few do something stranger; calcium-rich products like dolomite can build to dangero…”

Lovage is a celery-like herb traditionally used for digestion, bloating, and as a mild diuretic to flush the urinary tract.
