Your Tenoretic combines two blood pressure medicines: atenolol (a beta blocker) and chlorthalidone (a water pill). The piece that overlaps with lovage is the chlorthalidone. Lovage acts as a gentle diuretic itself, meaning it nudges your body to pass more urine. On paper, stacking that mild effect on top of your water pill could add up, so this is mostly a theoretical concern based on how the herb behaves, not something proven in studies.

If the two were to overlap, you might notice more trips to the bathroom, lightheadedness, or feeling a bit dehydrated. The good news is that a sprig of lovage in cooking is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated capsules or the essential oil are where I'd be more cautious. Before adding a lovage supplement, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor.
