Deucravacitinib falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Lychee interacts with.

Theoretically, lychee might reduce the effectiveness of immunosuppressant drugs.
In vitro, flavonoids extracted from lychee show immunostimulant effects. So far, this effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for Sotyktu (deucravacitinib), which calms an overactive immune system to treat plaque psoriasis. In a lab dish, certain flavonoids from lychee seemed to nudge immune cells the other way, giving them a slight boost. On paper, that could work against a medicine whose whole job is to quiet immune activity, possibly making your psoriasis less controlled. But this is purely a theoretical concern from test-tube work. It has never actually been seen in people taking these drugs.

So I wouldn't lose sleep over a serving of lychee fruit. Concentrated lychee extract supplements are the bigger question mark, simply because we don't have human data. If you're considering one, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

Brand name: Sotyktu

Sotyktu (deucravacitinib) is approved to treat two conditions. First, it treats moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in adults who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy. Second, it treats active psoriatic arthritis in adults.

Sotyktu is not recommended for use alongside other potent immunosuppressants (medicines that strongly suppress the immune system).
