Here's the simple version: this combo product (CoActifed) contains codeine, which is a sedating opioid, plus triprolidine, an older antihistamine that also makes many people drowsy. Motherwort, on its own, has been reported to cause mild sedation and a calming, sleepy effect. Stack them together and the worry is simply that the drowsiness could add up.

In real life that might mean feeling extra groggy, foggy-headed, or sleepier than expected, which matters most if you're driving or already prone to feeling out of it. To be fair, this is a theoretical concern based on how these things work, not strong human studies, so don't panic. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially while you're getting used to the cold medicine.
