Here's the simple version: both peyote (through mescaline) and dextroamphetamine rev up your brain and nervous system, just in different ways. Mescaline stirs up serotonin signaling, while dextroamphetamine pushes more dopamine and norepinephrine. Stack the two together and you're piling stimulation on top of stimulation.

What could that look like? Think jittery, racing heart, higher blood pressure, trouble sleeping, anxiety, and in a worst case, dangerous spikes in heart rate or agitation. I want to be honest with you, though: this warning is theoretical, based on how these drugs work rather than solid human studies. Even so, the overlap is real enough that I wouldn't combine them. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before making any changes to your medication.
