Here's the thing to know about pairing peyote with ephedrine: both are stimulating to your body and brain, just in different ways. Ephedrine is a sympathomimetic, meaning it revs up your heart rate, raises blood pressure, and can leave you feeling jittery, anxious, or shaky. Peyote's active compound, mescaline, acts on serotonin pathways in the brain and is also activating. Stacking these two can pile on the overstimulation.

So together you'd worry about a racing or pounding heart, spiking blood pressure, agitation, trouble sleeping, and possibly tremor or chest discomfort. I'll be honest: this concern is based on how these drugs work rather than hard human studies, so it's more theoretical than proven. Still, peyote is a controlled substance and isn't a safe supplement. Please run any combination past your doctor or pharmacist first.
