Amphetamine Sulfate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Phellodendron interacts with.

Theoretically, phellodendron might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
Phellodendron contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical evidence show that berberine can inhibit CYP2D6. Theoretically, phellodendron might also inhibit CYP2D6.

Here's the gist: amphetamine (Benzedrine, Evekeo) is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. Phellodendron contains berberine, which lab studies and some early human data suggest can slow that enzyme down. If the enzyme works slower, your amphetamine could clear a bit more sluggishly and build up in your blood.

What that might feel like is more of the usual amphetamine effects: a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or feeling wired and anxious. To be fair, this concern is theoretical, based mostly on lab work, so it may not amount to much in real life. Still, please don't change anything on your own. Run it by your pharmacist or doctor first, especially if you already notice your stimulant feeling stronger.
