Methyclothiazide, Pargyline falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Phellodendron interacts with.

Theoretically, phellodendron might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Phellodendron contains berberine. Animal research suggests that berberine can have hypotensive effects. Also, a clinical study suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with amlodipine alone. Theoretically, phellodendron might also reduce blood pressure.

Eutron is a combination pill: methyclothiazide is a thiazide water pill, and pargyline is an older MAO inhibitor. Both work to lower blood pressure. Phellodendron contains berberine, which some animal studies and a small human study suggest may also gently nudge blood pressure down. So the worry here is simple addition. Stack a blood pressure lowering herb on top of two blood pressure lowering medicines, and your pressure could dip too far.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or faint when standing up. Keep in mind this is theoretical, based mostly on lab and animal work, so it is far from certain. Still, before adding phellodendron, please check with your doctor or pharmacist, especially since pargyline interacts with many things.
