Aspirin, Omeprazole falls under PROTON PUMP INHIBITORS (PPIs) — the group Quassia interacts with.

Theoretically, due to reports that quassia increases stomach acid, quassia might decrease the effectiveness of PPIs. PPIs include omeprazole (Prilosec), lansoprazole (Prevacid), rabeprazole (Aciphex), pantoprazole (Protonix), and esomeprazole (Nexium).

Here's the simple version. Your Yosprala combines aspirin with omeprazole, and that omeprazole part is there to keep stomach acid down so the aspirin is gentler on your stomach lining. Quassia is a bitter herb that may nudge your stomach to make more acid, which is the opposite of what omeprazole is trying to do. In theory, that could work against the acid-lowering job and leave you a bit more prone to heartburn, stomach upset, or irritation.

I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is. It's based on anecdotal reports, not solid studies, and it's rated a minor concern. A taste of bitters likely won't matter much, while concentrated quassia supplements are more of a question mark. If you're using both regularly, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
