Here's the thinking behind this one. Quassia is a strong bitter, and bitters can nudge your stomach to make a little more acid and digestive juice. Aluminum hydroxide (like Amphojel or Alu-Cap) works the opposite way: it neutralizes acid to calm heartburn, sour stomach, and ulcer pain. So in theory, if quassia bumps up acid production, it could blunt how well your antacid soothes things, and you might notice your heartburn isn't fully knocked down.

I want to be honest that this is a theoretical, anecdotal concern, not something proven, and it's rated minor. A small bitter taste before a meal is unlikely to overpower your antacid. If you're using both regularly and feel like the antacid isn't doing its job, just space them apart and check in with your pharmacist or doctor.
