Chlorpropamide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Quassia interacts with.

In animals, quassia extract reduced levels of fasting glucose. Theoretically, quassia might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs. This might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in some patients. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.
Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, metformin (Glucophage), pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the simple version: chlorpropamide already pushes your blood sugar down by getting your pancreas to release more insulin. Quassia, in animal studies, also seemed to lower fasting blood sugar a little. So the worry is that the two could add together and drop your sugar more than you want. With chlorpropamide that matters, because it's a long-acting sulfonylurea and low blood sugar from it can be stubborn and last a while.

I want to be honest about the evidence, though. This is based only on lab and animal work, not human studies, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. If you take both, just keep an eye out for shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or confusion, and check your sugars more closely. Please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before making any changes.
