Dulaglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Quassia interacts with.

In animals, quassia extract reduced levels of fasting glucose. Theoretically, quassia might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs. This might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in some patients. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.
Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, metformin (Glucophage), pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the gist with Trulicity (dulaglutide) and quassia. This isn't about one blocking the other in your liver. Instead, it's an additive effect: dulaglutide already lowers your blood sugar, and in animal studies quassia extract nudged fasting glucose down too. Stack them and your sugar could theoretically dip lower than you'd expect.

If that happens, you might notice the classic low-sugar signs, things like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy. To be fair, the evidence here is thin (lab and animal work only), and small culinary or bitters amounts likely matter little. Still, if you use concentrated quassia supplements, keep an eye on your readings and chat with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them. Don't change your Trulicity on your own.

What Is Dulaglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Trulicity

Trulicity (dulaglutide) injection is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is not for type 1 diabetes.

Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risk of major heart events — specifically cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, or non-fatal stroke.
