Quercetin + Glucagon
Glucagon brand names: Glucagon, Baqsimi.
Quercetin has a moderate interaction with Glucagon. Theoretically, concomitant use of quercetin and antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Glucagon
Glucagon falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Quercetin interacts with.
Clinical research suggests that a combination of quercetin, myricetin, and chlorogenic acid reduce levels of fasting glucose in patients with type 2 diabetes, including those already taking antidiabetes agents. The effect of quercetin alone is unknown.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the interesting twist with this pairing. The concern on file is that quercetin may gently lower blood sugar, and combining it with diabetes medicines could nudge sugar levels too low. But glucagon does the opposite of most diabetes drugs. It's your rescue treatment for a severe low, telling your liver to dump stored sugar back into the blood. So this isn't a case where the two stack up and crash your sugar.
If anything is worth a thought, it's theoretical and based on weak evidence: a high-dose quercetin habit might keep your baseline sugars a touch lower day to day. That doesn't make glucagon unsafe to use in an emergency. Food amounts of quercetin almost certainly don't matter here. Keep using your glucagon exactly as prescribed for severe lows, and check with your pharmacist if you take concentrated quercetin supplements.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Glucagon page
“If you keep glucagon (Baqsimi) on hand to rescue a severe low blood sugar, read this list with genuine care. Of the 256 supplements and herbs on file, 239 affect blood sugar control, most by lowering glucose further, which can set up the very crash glucagon exists to reverse.”

About Quercetin
What is Quercetin?
- Seasonal allergies
- Antioxidant support
- Heart and blood pressure health
- Anti-inflammatory support
- Immune support
- Exercise recovery
Quercetin is a plant flavonoid with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties found in many common foods and sold as a supplement. While early research is interesting for allergies, blood pressure, and inflammation, strong human evidence is limited for most uses. It is generally well tolerated in food amounts, but talk to your pharmacist or doctor before taking high-dose supplements.

Glucagon Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Glucagon as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Quercetin — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
