Here's the idea behind this pairing. Both rauwolscine and amphotericin B can, on their own, nudge the brain a little closer to having a seizure. Amphotericin B isn't a prodrug, so rauwolscine doesn't change how your body breaks it down. The concern is simply additive: two things that each lower the seizure threshold may add up and make a convulsion slightly more likely in someone who is already at risk.

I want to be honest about the evidence here, though. This is mostly theoretical and comes from an old animal study, not from people. For most folks the real-world risk is low. Since amphotericin B is given in a hospital or clinic setting, please mention any rauwolscine-containing fat-burner or pre-workout to your care team so they can keep an eye on you.

Rauwolscine (alpha-yohimbine) is a stimulant alkaloid closely related to yohimbine that is marketed mainly in fat-burning and pre-workout supplements.
