Here's the gist with metronidazole (Flagyl) and rauwolscine. Metronidazole is an antibiotic, not a prodrug that needs activating, so this isn't about one changing the other's blood levels. The concern is that, in rare cases, metronidazole itself can lower the seizure threshold (seizures and nerve-related side effects are listed for it). Rauwolscine, a stimulant cousin of yohimbine, may nudge that threshold lower too. Stacked together, the theoretical worry is a slightly higher chance of a seizure.

Honestly, this is based on animal lab data only, so it's a soft, theoretical signal, not something proven in people. Still, if you take metronidazole, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before using a rauwolscine pre-workout or fat burner.

Metronidazole treats three main types of infections. It's used for trichomoniasis (a sexually transmitted parasitic infection), amebiasis (an intestinal or liver infection caused by a parasite), and serious anaerobic bacterial infections — infections caused by bacteria that thrive without oxygen, which can affect the abdomen, skin, bones, lungs, and other areas.

Because sexual partners can pass trichomoniasis back and forth, both partners are typically treated at the same time, even if one has no symptoms.
