Here's the gist: propoxyphene is an older opioid pain reliever, and one of its known risks is that it can lower the seizure threshold, meaning it can make seizures a bit more likely in some people. Rauwolscine is a strong stimulant found in fat-burner and pre-workout products, and animal studies suggest it may also nudge that seizure threshold lower. Put the two together and, in theory, you could be adding up two effects that point in the same direction.

I want to be honest about the evidence though. This is based on lab and animal research, not real-world human reports, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Still, since propoxyphene already carries seizure and heart risks, it's worth checking with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Theoretically, rauwolscine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
Rauwolscine is structurally related to yohimbine. In vitro research shows that yohimbine inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme activity.

Here's the basic idea with these two. Your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP2D6 to help break down propoxyphene. Rauwolscine is a cousin of yohimbine, and in lab studies yohimbine appears to slow that same enzyme down. If propoxyphene clears more slowly, it could build up a bit, which may mean stronger opioid effects like drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, slowed breathing, or feeling faint.

I want to be honest about how solid this is. It's only a theoretical concern from test-tube data, not from real people, so it may never cause a noticeable problem. Still, since propoxyphene already carries real risks, and rauwolscine can raise heart rate and blood pressure on its own, please run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

This three-ingredient combination — butalbital, acetaminophen, and caffeine — is used to relieve the symptoms of tension headache (also called muscle contraction headache). All supported products, including tablets, capsules, and oral solution, share this same approved use.

It is worth knowing that evidence for using this combination to treat repeated, frequent tension headaches over time is limited. Because butalbital can be habit-forming, extended or repeated use is not recommended.
