Here's the gist for naproxen plus rauwolscine. Naproxen is an NSAID, and one of its well-known habits is making your blood platelets a little less sticky, which is why it can cause stomach irritation, bruising, or bleeding, especially with regular use. Rauwolscine, a cousin of yohimbine, may do something similar based only on lab studies, so stacking the two could in theory nudge your bleeding risk a bit higher.

I want to be honest: this is a theoretical concern, not something proven in people. Still, if you notice easy bruising, nosebleeds, dark stools, or stomach pain, that's worth a call. Before combining them, check with your pharmacist or doctor, especially if you take other blood thinners or have ulcer history.

Rauwolscine (alpha-yohimbine) is a stimulant alkaloid closely related to yohimbine that is marketed mainly in fat-burning and pre-workout supplements. Human evidence for its benefits is very limited, and it can raise heart rate and blood pressure and cause anxiety, so it should be used with caution and is not recommended for people with heart conditions, anxiety, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

What Is Naproxen Used For?

Brand names: Naprosyn, Naprelan, Anaprox, Anaprox DS, Naproxyn, Navalbine, Naproxen, Naprosyn EC, Napro-Na, Aleve, Arthroxen, Synflex, EC-Naprosyn

Naproxen tablets, naproxen sodium tablets, and naproxen oral suspension are used to relieve the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis. They are also used for tendonitis, bursitis, and acute gout, and for managing pain and primary dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps).

Naproxen Sodium Controlled-Release Tablets are indicated for the same conditions plus the relief of mild to moderate pain. Several over-the-counter naproxen sodium products are indicated for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains from headache, backache, muscular aches, toothache, menstrual cramps, minor arthritis pain, and the common cold, and to temporarily reduce fever.
