Here's the key thing to know: this interaction runs in one direction. S. boulardii is a live yeast, and boric acid (often used as a vaginal suppository for yeast infections, or in topical preparations) has antifungal activity. So in theory, boric acid could kill off some of the probiotic yeast, making the S. boulardii less effective. It doesn't work the other way around, and boric acid's own job isn't really affected here.

The good news is this is only a theoretical concern based on how the two work, not something well documented in people, and it's rated minor. Since most boric acid is used vaginally or on the skin while the probiotic works in your gut, real-world overlap is usually small. Still, if you're taking both for a reason, it's worth a quick check with your pharmacist about timing.
