Taking shilajit with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Most human and animal research shows that shilajit can decrease fasting plasma glucose levels. In an animal model, shilajit 100 mg per kg daily enhanced the glucose-lowering ability of both glibenclamide and metformin when given in combination over a 4 week period. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.

Here's the gist: your Jentadueto XR (which combines linagliptin and metformin) already works to lower your blood sugar. Shilajit appears to nudge blood sugar down on its own, and in one animal study it actually boosted metformin's glucose-lowering effect. Stack the two together and you may dip lower than intended.

What that could feel like is hypoglycemia: shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, or feeling confused or hungry. Honestly though, the evidence here is early and based mostly on lab and animal work, so it's a maybe, not a sure thing. If you do want to try shilajit, keep a close eye on your readings and loop in your pharmacist or doctor first so they can decide if any monitoring or dose tweaks make sense.
