Here's the thing to keep in mind with this pairing. Piroxicam is an NSAID, and like other drugs in that family it can thin the blood a little and irritate the stomach lining, which already raises your odds of bruising or bleeding. Swallowroot, in lab studies, seems to make platelets (the cells that help you clot) a bit less sticky. Stack the two together and you could, in theory, nudge that bleeding risk up.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. It comes only from test-tube research, not from people, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Watch for things like easy bruising, nosebleeds, dark stools, or a stomach that feels off. Before adding swallowroot, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor.
