Here's the simple version. Halothane is an older anesthesia gas used during surgery, and it's one of those drugs that can occasionally stress the liver on its own. Sweet Annie (the herb form of Artemisia annua) has also been linked to possible liver irritation in a few reports. So the worry here is that the two together could add up and put extra strain on your liver, with signs like fatigue, nausea, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or dark urine.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. This is a theoretical concern based mostly on anecdotal reports, not solid studies, so it's far from certain. Since Halothane is something an anesthesiologist gives you, just make sure your surgical and anesthesia team know you take Sweet Annie before any procedure.
