Hay prepared from dried sweet vernal grass contains an anticoagulant, dicoumarol, which has been associated with fatal hemorrhages in animals. Theoretically, taking dried sweet vernal grass might cause additive effects and side effects with drugs having anticoagulant or antiplatelet properties.

Here's the thing to know about Urokinase (Abbokinase): it's a powerful clot-busting drug given in the hospital to break up dangerous blood clots, like those in the lungs. Because it works directly on your clotting system, it already raises your risk of bleeding on its own.

When sweet vernal grass dries out, it can form dicoumarol, a natural blood thinner. The worry is that adding a blood-thinning supplement on top of a clot-buster could stack the effects and make bleeding more likely (think unusual bruising, nosebleeds, or harder-to-stop bleeding). That said, this concern is theoretical, based on animal cases and pharmacology rather than human studies. Since urokinase is given in a closely monitored hospital setting, mention any supplements to your care team so they can keep an eye out.
