Here's the gist for this pairing. Azatadine (Optimine) is an older antihistamine used for allergy symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itching. It isn't a prodrug, so this isn't about your body activating it. The concern on file is really about absorption of the thyroid hormone, not Azatadine itself. When you take thyroid extract too close to other oral products, food, or things like calcium and iron, less of the thyroid hormone gets absorbed, which can make it work less reliably.

This is rated minor and is easy to manage with timing. A simple approach many people use is taking thyroid hormone on an empty stomach and spacing it from other pills. Azatadine may make you drowsy, but that's not from this interaction. Run your exact schedule by your pharmacist or doctor to be sure.
