Here's the good news: there isn't a strong, drug-specific clash between thyroid extract and Tamiflu (oseltamivir). This interaction note is really about thyroid hormone absorption, meaning other things in your stomach can grab onto the thyroid hormone and lower how much you absorb. Tamiflu itself isn't a calcium, iron, or fiber product, so it isn't a classic offender here.

To keep things simple, I'd just space them out. Take your thyroid product on an empty stomach, and let about 30 to 60 minutes pass before your Tamiflu or food. Tamiflu can cause some nausea or upset stomach on its own, but that's not from the thyroid extract. Since over-the-counter thyroid extract isn't standardized, please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

What Is Oseltamivir Used For?

Brand name: Tamiflu

Oseltamivir is used to treat acute, uncomplicated influenza A and B in patients 2 weeks of age and older who have had symptoms for no more than 48 hours. It is also used to prevent (prophylaxis) influenza A and B in patients 1 year of age and older.

Keep in mind: oseltamivir is not a substitute for your annual flu vaccine. It does not work against bacterial infections or illnesses caused by anything other than influenza viruses.
