Naproxen, Sumatriptan falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Tinospora Cordifolia interacts with.

Theoretically, Tinospora cordifolia might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
In vitro research shows that Tinospora cordifolia extract inhibits CYP1A2 at high concentrations. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Treximet combines naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever) with sumatriptan (a migraine medicine). One of these is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. In test-tube studies, Tinospora cordifolia blocked that enzyme, but only at high concentrations, and this has never actually been seen in people. So if it mattered at all, the theory is that your body might clear the drug a little slower, leaving slightly higher levels around.

In real-world terms, that could mean a bit more of the usual side effects, like stomach upset, heartburn, drowsiness, or tingling. Honestly though, this is a theoretical, lab-only concern. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but since Giloy has been linked to liver injury, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Theoretically, Tinospora cordifolia might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9.
In vitro research shows that Tinospora cordifolia extract inhibits CYP2C9. Animal research shows that Tinospora cordifolia extract 400 mg/kg twice daily for 14 days reduces the clearance and increases plasma levels of glyburide, a CYP2C9 substrate. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Treximet combines naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever) with sumatriptan (a migraine medicine). The naproxen part is cleared from your body partly by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. Giloy appears, at least in lab and animal studies, to slow that enzyme down. In plain terms, if it slowed naproxen's breakdown, more could build up in your system over time, which can mean a bit more chance of stomach upset, heartburn, stomach irritation or bleeding, fluid retention, or kidney strain.

I want to keep this in perspective, though. This is theoretical, based only on test-tube and animal data, and it hasn't been seen in real people. Giloy has also been linked to liver injury on its own, so it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
