Vanadium + Insulin Glulisine (rDNA)
Insulin Glulisine (rDNA) brand name: Apidra.
Vanadium has a moderate interaction with Insulin Glulisine (rDNA). Theoretically, vanadium might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.

ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Insulin Glulisine (rDNA)
Insulin Glulisine (rDNA) falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Vanadium interacts with.
A few very small clinical studies in patients with type 2 diabetes show that the vanadyl sulfate form of vanadium increases insulin sensitivity and might lower blood glucose levels.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: Apidra (insulin glulisine) is a fast-acting insulin that pushes your blood sugar down at mealtimes. Vanadium, in supplement form, may act a little like insulin too and may make your body more sensitive to it. Put the two together and you could get a bigger drop in blood sugar than you expect. That can mean shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a fast heartbeat, confusion, or in serious cases passing out.
This concern comes from a few very small studies, so it's not rock-solid, but it's worth respecting since low blood sugar can come on fast with a rapid insulin like this. The trace vanadium in everyday food isn't the issue; concentrated supplements are. Please don't change your insulin on your own. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep an eye on your glucose readings.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Insulin Glulisine (rDNA) page
“Apidra (insulin glulisine) is a rapid mealtime insulin, and this list calls for real vigilance. All 239 ingredients on file affect blood sugar, most of the 208 moderate entries by adding their own glucose lowering to the insulin's and raising the chance of a serious low.”

About Vanadium
What is Vanadium?
- Blood sugar and diabetes support
- Athletic performance and muscle building
- Lowering cholesterol
- General trace-mineral supplementation
Vanadium is a trace mineral found in tiny amounts in food, and people get plenty from a normal diet. Supplement claims for diabetes, weight, and athletic performance are not well proven, and higher doses can be toxic. Most people do not need to supplement it, and you should check with your doctor or pharmacist before using it.
About Insulin Glulisine (rDNA origin) Injection
What Is Insulin Glulisine (rDNA origin) Injection Used For?
Brand name: Apidra
Apidra and Apidra SoloStar are used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in adult and pediatric patients with diabetes mellitus. This includes both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
Because insulin glulisine works very quickly, it is typically used around mealtimes to control the rise in blood sugar that happens after eating. It is generally used alongside a longer-acting insulin as part of a complete diabetes regimen.
