Here's the practical issue with Skelid (tiludronate) and whey protein. This bone medicine is already tricky to absorb, and it doesn't like to share your stomach with minerals. Whey is made from milk, so it naturally carries calcium and other minerals that can grab onto the tiludronate in your gut and keep it from getting into your bloodstream. Less drug absorbed can mean less protection for your bones, which matters when you're treating Paget's disease.

This concern is mostly theoretical, based on how the drug behaves rather than hard studies, so don't panic. The simple fix is spacing them out: take your tiludronate first thing, then wait before your whey shake (ideally at a totally different time of day). Always confirm the right timing with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
