Tadalafil falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Zedoary interacts with.

Theoretically, zedoary might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In-vitro research shows that a methanol extract of zedoary strongly inhibits the CYP3A4 metabolism of the tyrosine kinase inhibitors lapatinib and sorafenib, and to a lesser extent, gefitinib.

Here's the short version on pairing zedoary with tadalafil (Cialis). Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear tadalafil out of your system. In lab dish studies, some compounds in zedoary appear to slow that same enzyme down. If that held true in people, tadalafil could linger longer and hit a little harder than expected.

In plain terms, that might mean more of tadalafil's usual side effects, like headache, facial flushing, a stuffy nose, indigestion, back or muscle aches, or feeling lightheaded. I want to be honest though: this is only a theoretical concern based on test-tube work, not real patients, and a sprinkle of zedoary as a spice is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated supplement doses are the bigger question mark. Before combining them, just run it past your pharmacist or doctor.

About Tadalafil

What Is Tadalafil Used For?

Brand names: Cialis, Tadliq

Tadalafil tablets (including Cialis and generic tadalafil) are used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH — an enlarged prostate), or both conditions together. When used with the drug finasteride to start BPH treatment, this combination is recommended for up to 26 weeks.

Adcirca, Alyq (tablets), and Tadliq (oral suspension) are indicated specifically for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH — high blood pressure in the lungs), to improve the ability to exercise.
