What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) at 60 mg per capsule. CoQ10 is a compound your body naturally makes and uses to help generate energy in your cells — it's especially concentrated in heart, liver, and kidney tissue.
The inactive ingredients are cellulose, calcium silicate, magnesium stearate, and silica, which are common capsule fillers and binders.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
CoQ10 is Likely Effective for CoQ10 deficiency. It's Possibly Effective for fibromyalgia, migraine headache, congestive heart failure (CHF), and diabetic neuropathy — meaning some clinical research supports use for these conditions, but the evidence isn't yet strong or consistent.
If you're considering this supplement for one of those reasons, talk with your doctor about whether it's right for your situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
CoQ10 is generally well tolerated in adults when taken as directed. In clinical studies, no serious side effects have been reported.
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal — appetite suppression, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting — and these occur in less than 1% of people. Headache, dizziness, and insomnia have also been reported.
If you're taking doses above 100 mg daily, splitting them into smaller amounts throughout the day can help minimize stomach upset. Safety in pregnancy has not been well studied, so it's best to avoid it unless your doctor advises otherwise.
Breastfeeding safety also hasn't been well studied, so talk with your doctor before using CoQ10 while nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check your medications if you take warfarin or other blood thinners (Moderate interaction) — CoQ10 may reduce their effectiveness. Also double-check before using if you're on chemotherapy drugs that work by creating oxidative stress (Moderate interaction) or if you take blood pressure medications (Minor interaction, though dose adjustments might help).
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
CoQ10 is a reasonable choice if you're looking to address CoQ10 deficiency or want to explore it for migraine, heart, or nerve conditions — the supplement is generally well tolerated. But if you take warfarin or chemotherapy drugs, check with your pharmacist first.

CoQ10 60 mg by Country Life Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
CoQ10 60 mg by Country Life does interact with some medications.
The most serious concern is with blood thinners like warfarin (Coumadin) — a Moderate interaction. CoQ10 is chemically similar to vitamin K and may reduce how well warfarin works to prevent clots.
Four cases of decreased warfarin effectiveness linked to CoQ10 have been reported. If you take warfarin, don't start this supplement without checking with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
CoQ10 also has a Moderate interaction with chemotherapy drugs called alkylating agents (like cyclophosphamide). Because CoQ10 has antioxidant effects, it might theoretically protect cancer cells from these medications, reducing their effectiveness.
Talk to your oncologist before using this if you're undergoing chemotherapy.
There's also a Minor interaction with blood pressure medications. CoQ10 can lower blood pressure in some people, so combining it with antihypertensive drugs might cause your blood pressure to drop too far.
Altogether, these interactions span 198 individual medications. Use the medication checker on this page to look up your specific drugs before starting.

For each ingredient in CoQ10 60 mg with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Coenzyme Q10
Alkylating Agents
Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant effects. Theoretically, this may reduce the activity of chemotherapy drugs that generate free radicals.
Theoretically, antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10 might protect tumor cells from chemotherapeutic agents that work by inducing oxidative stress, such as alkylating agents (e.g., cyclophosphamide) and radiation therapy. The clinical importance of this interaction is unknown.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Coenzyme Q10 is chemically similar to menaquinone and might have vitamin K-like procoagulant effects, which could decrease the effects of warfarin.
Concomitant use of coenzyme Q10 and warfarin might reduce the anticoagulant effects of warfarin. Four cases of decreased warfarin efficacy thought to be due to coenzyme Q10 have been reported. However, there is some preliminary clinical research that suggests coenzyme Q10 might not significantly decrease the effects of warfarin in patients who have a stable INR.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, coenzyme Q10 might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Some clinical research shows that coenzyme Q10 can significantly lower blood pressure, although other studies have shown conflicting results.
